but then again, not really. I had a post mostly formed about insecurities and doubts but I am in an oddly good mood today and don’t want to spoil it. So, I’m gonna hold onto that one ok?
Like I said, oddly enough I am in a good mood. Not sure why, this week feels like it has been 10 days long already, Tuesday’s run was hard on the lungs and I’ve been hollered and lectured. But, like I said, odd good mood. The shoe can drop later, until then let’s talk about guilty pleasures.
Pizza– Duh, of course I was going to start here. Wednesday has kind of turned into my cheat pizza night. Last week, I was disappointed. I went to the usual place but the pizza was just meh. Kind of too saucy and not very warm. Boo. This week, they made up for it. Also, when this account follows you on Twitter, it may be a sign that you talk about pizza too much-
White chocolate macadamia nut cookies– How have I never had one before?! You’ve probably heard me mention that we have cookie Friday for the customers at work. We are contemplating switching bakeries, so of course we have to try them all out. 😛 Seriously, this cookie was so good!
Sunsets– I mean look at this!!!! The run might have been rough and my lungs were pissed but look at that view! I also had a few tidal wave fears on this run but that’s not the point. (earthquake and no birds= creepy silence). Sadly, I sometimes forget that scenes like this are right outside the door at work. Seriously, I can see the harbor from the sidewalk.
TV– I have odd taste in TV shows. Seriously between Teen Wolf and Downton Abbey– I think I run the gamut. They both air on nights when I am usually trying to type up a blog post. I spend more time staring at the tv screen than I do typing. At least I can say I finally have somewhat of a clue as to what is going in Teen Wolf. I was lost for like half the freakin’ season. And I promise it’s not as cheesy as it sounds. But let’s not talk about what else I watch right now.
My training journal– ok, this is actual guilt. I haven’t written in my training journal since the second week of January. Oops? I am so bad at keeping those!
Online shopping– Seriously, I browse websites all the time. I put things in my cart all the time. Then I let them sit there. I can’t remember the last time I completed a purchase.
Races– Like most of you, I want to run all the races!!! But I procrastinate registration, partly because I am gun shy but partly because I am lazy. But, guess who registered for Rock n Roll LA on the first day it opened? This Slacker did! Dude, that’s in October! I’m running it with Ashley and Heather and it’s gonna rock!!
And I thought I had more but I’ve forgotten what they were, oops!
How has your week been?
What was your guilty pleasure?
White chocolate macadamia nuts are my absolute favorite!!
And I’m so excited for y’all and Rock and Roll LA!

Ugh, I also have a post on insecurities percolating, but I haven’t quite been able to hit publish because it’s quite negative. Ah well. My guilty pleasure at the moment is wine. I got a bottle from the office for my two year anniversary and I have been enjoying a glass every night this week. SO GOOD.

Exactly. Unfortunately today’s run made it worse, I feel like it’s 2 steps forward, 5 steps backwards for everything these days. The insecurities are winning the battle! I admit I’ve been a diet coke like it was wine this week! Ha! 🙂

Those cookies sound amazing! My TV guilty pleasure is Say Yes to the Dress… I’ve been watching it for years and it never gets old, lol.

It was awesome! I had to restrain myself from eating another today! I’ve heard of the show but never watched, I can never remember what channel it is on.

That sunset photo is gorgeous! And white chocolate macadamia nut cookies are SO good. They used to be what I’d always get at Subway until they introduced raspberry cheesecake cookies. Mmm, cookies. That could definitely be a guilty pleasure of mine… that, and french fries/any kind of fast food after working out. It’s becoming a habit that’s not entirely healthy, but entirely delicious at the time!

I was so happy that picture actually looked like it had in real life! I admit that this was a Subway cookie. We are testing Subway as one of the bakery options. 🙂 I love french fries, cutting back on those was one of the hardest things I did when I started to get in shape a few years ago.

I need to eat less! Maybe I should be looking for cookies that I don’t like!

Dude! Never say CHEAT. You are TREATING yourself and it is totally ok!!! And really I consider bacon and pizza they’re on separate important food groups!!

I want pizza and cookies now. And pretty sunsets. Or sunrises. I watch Downtown Abbey with my husband and like to talk at the characters – mostly about how Mary is a giant b*tch. Guilty pleasure – occasionally I watch Keeping Up With the Kardashians at the gym and I can’t figure out why because they are all so awful.

Sometimes I like Mary and sometimes I don’t. I do like the relationship between her and Tom now though. I love how close they are. I can’t even tell the Kardashians apart but I know everyone loves that show.

Mmmmmm PIZZA. Love that you also have a pizza day. I have pizza every single Friday…I affectionately call it Pizza Friday and no matter how healthy I’m eating, I mow pizza. Guilty pleasure…definitely mindless TV. In mass quantities. Like Vampire Diaries or Shadowhunters kind of crap 🙂

I’ve tried multiple times to get into the Vampire Diaries but never get past episode 12. Which is odd since I read all the books years ago. I do like The Originals though. And The 100.

See, I pretty much always buy what’s in my online shopping cart.
I started watching Teen Wolf on the treadmill, but for some reason only watched one episode. I was probably running outside most of the time or something.
We are provably getting pizza tomorrow to eat between watching the X-Files. My TV choices are all over the place too.

I rarely follow through and am always surprised to see what I put in my cart the last time.
The first season of Teen Wolf was kind of silly, like they couldn’t decide if they were going to the push it or stay a campy, teen drama. They’ve gotten a lot darker over the seasons but I also get confused easier!
I need to catch up on The X-Files, I think I am 3 episodes behind. I am trying to avoid spoilers.
