Rambling On 17

What’s up Friday! It’s almost long run time!  🙂

Who am I kidding, I’m looking forward to a morning of sleeping in.    😛

Have I mentioned I have an awesome team at work? Because I do.  I just need to throw that out there.  They rock on a daily basis.

My back still hurts.  More of a dull ache than sharp now so I just try to do everything slowly.  I stupidly wore the wrong heels all day Thursday and my back is pissed about that.    Silly Slacker, emergency heels are for emergencies not 9.5 hour days.  Stupid.

Apparently I spoke too soon about Fall weather.   The 90’s have made a roaring comeback.  It’s even been in the 80’s in work town.  Then Timehop reminded me that last year and the year before was hotter.  Ok, fine whatever, I want fall weather!

Rock n Roll San Jose is in a little over a week and I still haven’t registered.  But I have 2 hotels booked.   Think I’m doing something wrong? 😂

Speaking of doing things wrong- if you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen my post about My Fitness Pal giving up on me.

Ouch.  Dissed by an app.

What are your weekend plans?

  1. Haha, oh man, I’ve gotten that message from MyFitnessPal before. Calorie tracking so does not work for me. I’m glad to hear your back is feeling a bit better. Hopefully with more rest and your new bed, it will continue to improve.

    • Calorie tracking worked for me once but it not this time at all. All it does is reinforce that I don’t eat that much but I gain weight then I get frustrated and go eat pizza. Not a good cycle. 😛

  2. MyFitnessPal sent that to me too. It does feel like an app is dissing you! I hope your weather settles down a bit and gives you some lovely fall temps soon!

  3. I kinda wish My Fitness Pal would give up on me! My runs automatically upload to it, but I haven’t been logging any food. The app probably thinks I should weigh 30lbs by now.

  4. I wish work was more lax about footwear. I used to wear running shoes all the time when I was in school, but now at my work place, I’ve been trying to do the whole business casual thing. I’m not sure if running shoes fits in that category so I bring a pair of heels to walk around and a pair of running shoes for sitting at my desk. Haha

    • Running shoes are definitely a no go at my work. I should wear heels more often actually but my calves have just been too cranky so I keep buying new flats. I keep an “emergency” pair of flats and heels at work though. You never know when you might need them. 🙂
