4 people I am tagging-
You thought you were done, right? Nope!! Thank you to Michael over at Running Around the Bend for nominating me for the Liebster, so here’s some more random. Make sure you check out his blog!
1. What is your current health related goal?
Get an answer from the doc about my stupid stomach and to get back to where I was this time last year.
2. What is your biggest irrational fear?
It changes on a moment by moment basis. I have a freaky vivid imagination and something always sparks it. For example- I drove to work one day behind a truck that had an unsecured lawn mower rolling around the truck bed. Cue irrational Final Destination fears.
3. Do you enjoy wrapping presents?
Yes I do like wrapping presents, I just wish I was better at it. I have had better luck finding wrapping paper I like than actual gifts for people this year. Oops.
4. What’s your favorite cross training activity?
Does watching Netflix count? No, then I haven’t found it yet, still looking. 🙂
5. If I came to visit you, what would we do?
There are a ton of hiking options followed by a trip to a burger place in SLO- Firestone. Best fries, ever! Oh, and there are a couple hundred wineries if that’s your thing. 🙂
6. You have 2 weeks off of work and 2 round trip plane tickets to ANYWHERE. Where would you go and who would you take?
I have 2 weeks off right now and I am going crazy!!!! But on someone else’s budget, I would take my mother back to Kauai. My grandparents used to live there and it’s been a long time since we were there and there are sentimental reasons to go back and visit.
7. What’s the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to you during a run or race?
Does Tuesday’s treadmill run count? And I did fall off a treadmill once a few years ago. It was 5 in the morning and I was tired and not paying attention. Luckily a wall caught me.
8. Tell me the 3 best days of your life. Or at least the first 3 that pop into your mind.
Honestly- I don’t think I have had them. Good ones- yes, but nothing for here yet. Gives me something to look forward to right?
9. Okay, you HAVE to eat a fast food meal. What restaurant would you choose and what would you order?
Carl’s Jr. Western Bacon Cheeseburger- no cheese, no onion rings, lettuce wrapped. Little secret? I have had this before every race that I have PR’d.
10. Have you ever met a celebrity?
98º. I also didn’t really know who they were but meeting them was a perk for being a pageant contestant back in the 90’s. Man I feel old.
11. Share a picture of yourself in non workout clothes!
Actually I spend most of my time in regular clothes and about 85% of that in dresses or skirts. Work days and weekends. Banana Republic and Abercrombie get a lot of my money.
12. If you could choose to have a ‘do-over’ and switch careers, what would you choose and why?
I actually really like my current career despite my mother telling me I am wasting my brain. I suppose I would like to follow through with writing but I am my harshest critic and have troubles getting even a paragraph on a page. Except for this blog, somehow that’s different.
13. If you won the Olympic Gold Medal – how do you think you would react?
Did I get lost and stumble in at last moment? That’s the only way that would happen.
14. What do you want for Christmas?
I have no idea!!!!! Any suggestions?
15. What skill do you lack?
So many, it’s true, but I should probably focus on cooking. 🙂
And for my nominees-
FlRunnerBoy
Boring Broad Runs
Recipe For Disaster
It’s a Marathon and a Sprint
Did that Just Happen
eatbelieveachieve
Walk to Rio
Slow and Steady-ish
Jane Likes to Run
Pavorisms
There are so many more but my brain has had a total blonde moment!!! If you are still reading after all of that- you rock!!
So everyone, answer one of the above questions, or share something random?
Seriously, vacations make me nutty- any ideas to keep me occupied? Other than running of course? 🙂
Thanks for sharing – loved reading all of the responses for both sets of questions! 🙂

Thanks! Sometimes these things make me nervous, do people really want to know how odd I am? 🙂

First off – Congratulations! Well deserved! Secondly, Thank you!!
But man, speaking of irrational fears, just yesterday my son and I were talking about how my fear of bridges and over passes is getting out of control! I’ve never, ever like them; I truly believe that they are going to collapse under me, or it is just steep enough that even though I’m giving the car gas I’m going to start rolling backwards – or – and this it the big one – that I’m going to just fall off! Like my car is magically going to just fall off the bridge or overpass.
Maybe if all of the sudden you develop this irrational fear it will take it away from me? 🙂

Thanks! And I always look forward to reading your posts!
Oh man, I have had that one before. Especially when the bridge shakes while you are waiting for traffic. I have to say that I am usually more nervous under a bridge though, especially about it falling. So, I totally get that fear!

It’s not as cool as it sounds. It was way back in high school and a boy thought it was funny to call me felony. He always asked if I had a brother named misdemeanor. Doctor Who is the best, I just wish we didn’t have to wait so long in between series.

Yep! They do make you wait forever between Dr. Who series but I guess that’s what Netflix is for … to get our fix on classic Who between series 😉 lol

Yep, total irrational fear person here! My biggest is getting stuck on train tracks. It doesn’t even matter if the ol’ Amtrak isn’t close-scary! Thanks for the nomination!

You met 98*?! My cousin was *obsessed* with them back when they were big, and probably would have killed to meet them. Remember that MTV show Fanatic? I filmed her video audition for it so she could try to meet them, lol. Ahh being a teenager in the 90s… 😉

I had to go buy the cd before we met them- I had really never heard of them! I remember thinking that one looked scared of the crowd. I now know that it was Drew. :). I still have the shirt they all signed somewhere too.
