It’s Friday!! And I have a 3 day weekend. I can’t wait. Sleep has not been my friend these past few weeks.
I’ve been in a weird non chatty mood this week. My last post was Monday! 😔 I am not sure what put me into a little funk but I am working my through it. Donuts were involved on Thursday. Apparently we were all feeling it, the clock hit 10 AM, we looked at each other and said donuts.
I wore my amazing new socks!!!!
I have a race this weekend! I think. Truth- I haven’t registered yet. Oops!! I always procrastinate but this time might be the most extreme. Part of it was due to my leg and it’s achiness. Part of it was due to a late giveaway I entered. Fingers crossed!
That said, I am nervous for it. But mostly about my shoes. I’ve been wearing the Hoka’s and while they don’t suck, I’ve never gone past 6 miles in them. Yikes!!! I have almost 30 miles on them but I am nervous.
It’s almost blanket weather! Almost. I love curling up under a good blanket. Nights are finally in the 40’s out here. There are still 90+ degree days in the forecast but we’re getting closer to fall like weather. 😛
I did get some short miles this week. Overall my leg felt ok. Saw a pretty great sunset too-
I have not had pizza or bought a bag of chips this week. Who am I?? 🍕 Can I make it through cookie Friday????
Hmmm, I thought I had more to share but nothing’s coming to me right now. Oops. And why does the iPhone want you to use 🙊 instead of oops? Silly auto predict.
What are you doing this weekend?
How late have you ever registered for a race?

It’s Thanksgiving weekend in Canada – so i’ll be eating food and running a 10k race 🙂 I signed up for two races last minute this year which has been fun to do! Good luck with your race!

I’m sorry you aren’t sleeping well. That is not an insignificant problem to have… could it be stress? Go easy on yourself. I used to sign up for races at the race, all the time. 5ks, 10ks… things didn’t sell out. Even the Somerville Turkey Trot on Tday. I don’t think you can do that anymore… and I am not even that old, not really. We’re talkin like 10 years ago. Anyway, good luck on the race this weekend. And I hope you had a cookie on cookie Friday. 🙂

It’s been rough, stress could be a factor. I went new pillow shopping today and I ordered some essential oils to try as well. Fingers crossed! I did have a cookie, it was worth it. 🙂 Thank you! The race went well.

Girl, I haven’t posted in 4 months!! Now I’m playing catch up!! It took me about 30 miles for my Hokas not to kill my calves!! Now, I won’t do a long run without them. I think all the cushion helps with my hip and knee. I usually do early bird registration for races, I’m scheduled out to April!! Have a great weekend and good luck with the race.

It’s been that long?! I think I like the Hoka’s but I am having some shin pain that just won’t go away. Unfortunately, my calves are usually tight so I can’t blame that on the Hoka’s. I like to procrastinate my race registrations but this was late even for me- I registered on Friday!

I happen to know you won that last minute free entry 🙂
And, I checked the mileage on my shoes because my heels are starting to hurt – they are only at 231 miles… Wha??? First off, there is another 100 miles in them, I know there is – but seriously, these were supposed to be “high mileage”. what the what? I’m not happy about that right now.
but, then again, maybe it’s me… LOL

I think I’d throw a party if my shoes hit 230 miles. I wore my PureFlows to the race and they are just dead- at 180 miles😂😭😂. I can always tell when my arches start to hurt while running.
