Rambling On 18

How is it only Thursday?  I feel like it should already be Sunday.

Maybe it’s just been one of those weeks.

I went to a long overdue eye appointment this week.  Holy crap, I can see again!  I didn’t realize how much I was squinting until I didn’t have to anymore.   I can see clearly now the squint is gone, hehe.   And good lord, my eye sight is bad.  🤓

Lately, I’ve been on a Battlestar Galactica kick.  It’s my newest binge.  I watched it years ago but now thanks to Hulu, I’m rediscovering it all over again.  It holds up.   The commercials are about to drive me batty though.  The commercial free version is looking better.

I had this idea to make Las Vegas half marathon #30… except I am one short.  So half #29 anyone?  Any ideas?

I just went on a book buying spree on Thrift Books.  Did I need 4 new books?  Nah…but I love their prices!  Downside is they are coming from 4 different warehouses so now I just have to wait.  Wonder which one will show up first.

On the upshot, I’ve been dizzy spell free so far this week- knock on wood- and gotten in 2 runs.  Let’s keep it going.

How has your week been?

Random… I’ve been sick this week, 😐. Poor me. I hate being sick. 😑

I’m so happy to hear that you’re dizzy-free! Hopefully you’ll remain that way (drink lots of water). 😉

Battlestar Galactica… is this the old old one, or did they do a remake of the series?

    1. I am sorry you’re sick! Hope you feel better soon!

I think I drink plenty of water- possibly too much, haha.

I can’t handle the original Battlestar- kind of cheesy. I’m watching the 2004 era one. I made fun of it the before watching it back then but once I did I was hooked. I decided to start watching it again. Still just as good.

  2. Looks like running is getting back on track for you! I, too, had a long over due eye appointment! Tuesday I couldn’t take it anymore and went in… and oh my goodness!! World of difference!!

    1. Right? I was surprised by how much my vision had changed. Not exactly a good thing. I was already blind enough!

That’s great about no dizzy spells. I came down sick so I’m riding the couch. Maybe I’ll check out that bookstore😂

I’m hoping to be up and running again by Sunday! It feels really weird to not be running!
When I bought my place I had to make a rule that I wouldn’t buy books, but I don’t think used ones count🤣😜

  4. I’m sure you could find a 29th half somewhere around there where you live! So many races in California!! I can’t even tell you how many half marathons I’ve done. I lost count. Probably 300. LOL

    1. There are plenty! I just live in that awkward place where they are all really long drives whether I go North or South. I have to figure what I can do in a weekend and find the hotel. I can only dream of running as well so frequently as you do!

  5. Random- I got a puppy! She’s keeping me and my family (and our 4 year old dog) busy! I think she’s going to be a runner the way she runs around the house when she’s playing!

    1. Yay, a puppy!!! I love puppies. And kittens. I’ve been wanting one but realistically- I don’t have the time necessary for either of them right now.

      1. Puppies especially are a HUGE time-suck. If my husband didn’t work from home, I’m not sure we could have a puppy right now.

    1. Yay to Disneyworld! Yeah, I’m not sure I am going to be able to make 29 happen. I am going to try but life keeps popping up too you know?

Yay for no dizzy spells! Hope that streak continues!

And yay for bargain books! And fixed vision! My eyesight is pretty bad too, but I don’t like wearing my glasses out in the world because they mess with my depth perception, so I just look at the world blurrily. There’s my random 🙂

    1. Fingers crossed!

I hate my glasses. I have zero peripheral vision with them, I am so glad for my contacts. 🙂
