Rambling On 11

Holy crap, how is it Friday?  And…I am so glad it’s Friday.  😛

I thought I was prepared for July.  So far July’s been a like a steamroller.   We’re only 7 days in!  I’ve only run once this week, and done nothing else.

Adding insult to the fatigue of 10 hour days, I woke up on Thursday with a sore throat.   Tried to tell myself it was just because I slept with the fan on.    By the end of the day I was in denial that I had a head cold.  I tired to run it out.  Not sure yet if that was a good idea.

Apparently someone had a little too much to drink on the 4th- someone show an arrow through our back shed.  An actual arrow.  Are you freakin’ kidding me?!?

I plans for a 12 mile long run this weekend but with a projected temp of 107 and this damn head cold, I am feeling less than optimistic.

Well, this post turned out to be quite whiny.  😛

Any weekend plans?

  1. It’s okay to be whiny sometimes… it feels good. 🙂 I’m having to get up at nasty hours of the morning just to beat the heat, and it sucks big time. I hope you feel better soon!!

    1. I’m beginning to think I need to seriously consider morning running with this conversion. The later times are killing any any motivation I have. Either that or I just need to get some sleep. 😛

  2. Get out there and do what you can when you can!! It sounds like that is what’s working for you.

    1. This week, doing what I can may be little to nothing! We’ll see!

  3. Oh boo! Hope that head cold goes away soon! I’m always scared to drive around at night on the 4th of July. There are crazies out there. Lol

    1. Right? I stay home most often during the 4th and my street is super chill for the most part so the arrow was a total shock. What were they thinking?! What if the animals were outside? Or us?

      1. They were probably drunk when they had the bright idea of shooting arrows in a neighborhood. >_<

    1. Laying around describes my day, too. I felt horrible so running was not an option. Instead the day was spent trying to see if the refrigerator and air conditioner were salvageable. Thursday and Friday were ridiculously hot and caused a power surge that did some damage. 😦
