Rambling On 32

Everybody party, it’s Friday.

Dude, this week has been so odd.  Maybe it was the migraine that stuck around until Wednesday but I was just not on this planet half the time this week.  Heck part of me is trying to figure out how it is even Friday but I don’t want to complain.

Maybe I can blame the odd weather? The weather app has been wrong for work town every day all week.

Parts of me are super ready to run post marathon and other parts are super not. Those parts are fighting each other.😛 Hey, body, pick one and stick with it, ok?

I have a Yeti obsession and they have new colors. Someone tell me I don’t need a $30 tumbler. No matter how pretty it is.😂

I had this problem after my first marathon too… instead eating ALL the food, I’m like on a mini shopping spree. There are a few packages arriving soon. Send help.

Friday!

I’ve been a little tired lately and not sleeping great but still I was surprised when a customer told me I must be tired.  Oh…it’s that obvious? 🤣  It’s cool though, it was one of our favorite customers.

Monday was my 11th anniversary at work. I came in to find a decorated desk, a cute card and a Burger King crown.😀. They know me so well. Speaking of BK- my boss is on vacay this week so I can’t leave the building and 2 coworkers have brought me food for lunch without me asking. I seriously work with the best people.

Ok, geek moment- why did they have to move Avengers up a weekend??? Now it comes out the same weekend as Big Sur. I can’t do both! First world problems, I know.

The weather has been a little nuts this week- I think we’ve had all 4 seasons in the last 4 days. I can’t keep up!

I have to clean my car this weekend- if I say it here, I have to follow through, right?

Rambling On 30

Heyo…

I owe you a race recap but I have been so tired this week that my brain just hasn’t been in race recap mode.  I keep trying but keep failing.   It will be up before this week’s training recap next week.  I think.  I hope.   Maybe.  Ha.

Yeah, marathon tiredness has set in.  Or I am fighting the bug that seems to be going around work again.  Nope, don’t got time for that.  Marathon training tiredness it is.

The weather flipped and 80 degrees arrived. I’m not ready but I’m not complaining!!!😎 I ran in a tank top!

It’s spring break around here and I think some people’s brains have gone on vacation. I work in a tourist town and there has been some crazy driving going on. 2 different trucks were driving around with their back trailer doors swinging open. Ummm, hello- stop!!! And stop signs mean stop. But, no do not stop in the middle of the roundabout!

Speaking of the roundabout, we can see it out the windows from work- craziness, just craziness. People get off the highway only to get confused.

I have a lot of miles on tap for the weekend but am concerned how my leg is going to hold up. I’m still having issues with that groin pull issue from a few weeks ago and it’s not making me happy.

Rambling On 29

Let’s ramble on a Thursday.

I had to drive on my spare tire on Monday.  Crap, that thing was squirrelly.  So, FYI, if you have an Escape- the spare is creepy.

On Tuesday, I ripped my pants.  In a very inappropriate place.   I work 45 minutes away from home and work town doesn’t really have any clothing stores.  Well, crap, now what?  Well, I have amazing co-workers who literally give you the skirt they were wearing.   😯  And don’t worry, she was still good as there was something in our donation pile that fit her.  Which was actually some clothes of mine I don’t fit into anymore but let’s not got there.

They are predicting rain for this weekend and next weekend.  Seriously?!?! Do you how many miles are on the schedule?  Nope, not going to think about it.

I finally tested out the lake path for the first time this year.  It was short due to some odd feeling in my leg but it was nice to be there.

And super random- why is Matthew McConaughey doing Carl’s Jr. commercials??? I don’t know why I’m weirded out by that but I am.😂

Fri-yay!!! I’m so glad it’s Friday.

It’s been an interesting week…at least it’s felt that way. Has it felt that way to anyone else?

I’m not a usually a fan of Justin Timberlake- don’t disown me- but I’m really liking that new Say Something song. Who am I???

Speaking of music, the local Fair has started announcing the summer lineup and they are stepping up this year. I know I’ll be going at least twice. I missed Florida George Line the last time they came so I’m not going to now. And Gabriel Iglesias is coming too. Fluffy!!!!! Could care less about Luke Bryan or Eric Church though. 😛

But how are we talking about summer already??? Wasn’t it just Christmas?? I’m already registering for races in October (more on that later). Slow down!

Speaking of things to disown me for- I don’t watch This Is Us. There, I confessed. I feel better now.😂
